Terms of Use

Track the paycheck. Don't trade from it.

Quotes, news, and payout dates can be delayed or incomplete. DivCheck is for tracking your paycheck, not for placing trades. Nothing in this app or on this site is financial, tax, or investment advice.

Agreement & license

By downloading or using DivCheck, you agree to these terms. DivCheck grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial tracking of dividend income. The $9.99 one-time unlock is licensed to you through Apple's in-app purchase system, not sold as a subscription and not sold outright as transferable property.

Who can use DivCheck

You need to meet the age and account requirements of the Apple App Store in your region to download and purchase apps — generally 13 and older, with parental involvement where Apple requires it.

What DivCheck is — and isn't

DivCheck is a tracking tool. It estimates dividend income from the tickers and share counts you provide, plus public price and dividend data. It does not hold custody of assets, place or route orders, or connect to any brokerage account, and it has no mechanism to execute a trade. Adding, editing, or removing a holding in DivCheck has no effect on any real account you hold elsewhere.

Estimates only — no duty to be accurate or current

Every figure in DivCheck — this week's paycheck, monthly and yearly totals, buy-by/ex-date/paid-on timing, income mix, and tax-flavor tags — is an estimate built from data that can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Companies and funds can raise, cut, pause, or delay a dividend at any time, and DivCheck's estimate will not reflect a change until it appears in the underlying data. We don't guarantee any figure is accurate, complete, or current, and we're not obligated to correct or update an estimate on any particular schedule. Confirm actual deposits with your broker and reconcile against your official tax forms (1099-DIV) at tax time.

Not investment, tax, or legal advice

Nothing in DivCheck or on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, and none of it is financial, tax, or legal advice. You are not a client of DivCheck or its developer, and no advisory relationship is created by using the app. Consult a licensed professional for advice specific to your situation.

Data timing

Quotes are cached on-device for roughly 45 minutes and news for roughly 20 minutes; the underlying public market data can itself lag. Calendar dates are estimated from public dividend schedules and can shift — DivCheck labels a payout as declared once it's confirmed and estimated otherwise.

No connection to Apple Stocks

DivCheck's portfolio and watchlist are entirely independent of Apple's Stocks app. There is no import from, export to, or syncing with a Stocks watchlist.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer, resell, or misuse the app or this website, attempt to disrupt their operation, or use them for anything unlawful. We may take reasonable steps to protect the app and site from abuse.

In-app purchases

The one-time unlock is billed, processed, and refunded entirely by Apple under the App Store's standard terms. Payment methods, taxes, currency conversion, and refund requests are between you and Apple — DivCheck does not process payments or hold your card details. Use Restore Purchases on the unlock screen to recover your purchase on a new device or after a reinstall.

Third-party data & Apple trademarks

Prices, dividend history, and news come from third-party public market data sources; DivCheck does not control their accuracy, completeness, or timeliness and is not responsible for decisions made based on them. DivCheck is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. "App Store" is a trademark of Apple Inc.; references to iPhone, iOS, Siri, Home Screen, Lock Screen, and Live Activities describe compatibility only.

Limitation of liability

DivCheck and this website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or reliance on any estimate it shows. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you — for example, mandatory consumer-protection rights in the EU/EEA and UK remain unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local mandatory consumer-protection law gives you additional rights that these terms cannot override.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will update the "last updated" date above.
